Svjetsko, a naše!!

Young, educated, ambitious and successfull people is what inspires me. I came across this song today and I totally loved it. This girl is amazing. She is such a talanted, beautiful young woman with a lot of potential. The music in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not really at it's peak but this girl shows that there is hope that this kind of music could actually become a standard in our region one day.  I loved it, and I wanted to share it. Keep up the good work Maja!

More about Maja:
Maja was born on November 10, 1985, in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her father died before she was born, leaving her mother to raise Maja and her sister. She grew up in a home filled with love because that is all they had to give each other. It was from this love of family and her love for music that she was able to survive the war that was tearing her country apart. Everything that Maja does now is dedicated to her mother.
Maja has excelled at everything she has done. She finished among the top ten students in her high school, while simultaneously attending a high school specializing in music, where she focused on opera singing and piano. She is fluent in three languages and can sing in five. She currently holds a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Sarajevo. Maja also stood out in the athletic arena, competing professionally in gymnastics and table tennis. She also played competitive volleyball, basketball, tennis, and skiing. However, it has always been performing that has fueled Maja’s life. She began performing at the age of seven. By age ten, Maja became a member of the National Theater in Sarajevo. She has performed on stages throughout Europe. She has appeared in multiple television shows and numerous print advertisements. Maja has now set her sights on the United States to help expand her music career. She is a singer, composer, songwriter, lyricist, and pianist who believes that “Stage is her life, Studio her home, and Singing her food.”

Enjoy!
